Kato Class 800 DCC Sound Installation

Kato Class 800 installation of DCC sound decoders. We can convert one, two or three cars to DCC sound: 

• Motorized centre car
• Dummy end car - First Class end
• Dummy end car - Standard Class end

If you are only converting one car to sound, then choose the 'motorized centre car' option.

If you want the centre car converting to sound, and DCC controlled directional lighting at each end, choose the 'motorized centre car + directional lighting' option. 

For a truly immersive sound experience, we recommend converting the centre motorized car, and both end cars to DCC sound. End car sound conversion includes directional lighting control.  

NOTE: This conversion requires one sound decoder, speaker and sound file per converted car. 

• For the motorized car, choose 'ESU LokSound Kato'
• For each end car, choose 'ESU LokSound Micro Next18' or 'ESU LokSound Nano Next18' (it doesn't matter which, they will both fit)
• For directional lighting control only (i.e. no sound) in the end cars, choose 'Kato FL12'

Speakers are included free when buying your ESU LokSound decoders from us.
