Kato Class 800 installation of DCC decoder into the centre motorized car and each end car. Optionally can have a function decoder fitted into the front and rear power cars to control the directional lights.
Installation of Kato decoders to convert the Class 800 model from DC to DCC.
Various conversion options available, the basic installation consists of the centre (motorized) car being fitted with a decoder for DCC motor control.
We can also install a function decoder into the front and rear power cars so you can control the red/white directional lights.
Finally, we can install interior lighting into each coach in the 5-car set. Note that the interior lights are on all the time when your track power is on - they cannot be switched on or off.
All DCC installations include a link to a video of your loco running after the decoder has been installed.
NOTE: This conversion requires:
- 1 x Kato EM13 decoder (for motor control)
- 2 x Kato FL12 (optional - for directional lighting control)
- 5 x Kato Light bars (optional - for interior lighting in each coach of a 5-car set)
